Soul Calibur III

I am little far behind on the draw as far as Soul Calibur goes, I was looking forward to the 3 installment in this series when IGN posted up high res pictures of it. So to my suprise I read that it was PS2 exclusive. The main fun about Soul Calibur 2 was that I could hop from console to console beeting everyone in battle. I mastered that game on Game Cube and Xbox and played it a few times on Ps2. To read that Soul Calibur 3 was coming out for exclusivly the PS2 I was dissapointed. Though this game will probably be good it features no online play which I was personally looking foward to and apparently you can make your own charaters in the game. So basically its Soul Calibur 2 with a few more features and it even looks almost the same. So even it had come out for the systems I doubt I would have bought it. This is 1 gamer waiting for them to add Multiplayer to the franchise so we can duke it out online with the best of them.

Doom Movie

I guess the Doom movie is coming along nicely, according to the interview with id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead the movie is along its way and is suppose to debut in October!. In the switch from Game to movies there has been a few that arn't great such as Alien Vs Predators though it was a good action movie and resident evil movies werent a true conversion. I think that Id will make it there job to make this a true conversion of Game to movie and a huge hit with there fans. Of course all fans of the game are looking forward to seeing that BFG in action in the movie. The Monsters are also suppose to look like in the game. Karl Urban will be taking the role as John Grimm, leader of the special ops team.

IGN Chris Carle sat with Todd Hollenshead for an interview here are some of the highlights.

"I had only seen really the teaser before. I have seen the whole movie in development, but hadn't really seen the first-person sequence that they showed. When we saw it, it was only about 2/3 done, so to see it another step, another iterative step down the path to completion, was really cool. They'd even made tweaks to the teaser, which I think is going to be super well-received when fans get a chance to see it."-Todd Hollenshead
IGN: What would you say is your favorite weapon from the game translated into the movie?
Well, this probably is what everybody is expecting, but that doesn't make it any less true. It's absolutely the BFG. When we saw the gun on the set, taking a look at it, was like, "Oh, this is cool," because it's basically built the same way as the BFG is from Doom III. The effects on the BFG blast are all CG, so you can't see what it's like when they're actually filming it, so you just kinda gotta put your imagination to it. And…the first [time] we got to see Dwayne actually fire it, and you know, he's like, "Holy sh*t, this is the BFG," and we're like, "Holy sh*t that's the BFG!"-Todd Hollenshead
They then went on to talk about other game's that they will be taking to the movie which will probably be Wolfenstien and perhaps one of the Quake games. Also when asked about a Quake or Wolfenstien movie Todd had this to say.
"Well, I hope so. Quake is a bit more schizophrenic than the Doom or Wolfenstein properties, just because the story for Quake II and Quake IV are in the same universe, but Quake and Quake III are different from the other two. I do think that the Quake II universe would make excellent grounds for a film. With Wolfenstein, that's a project that we've actually had in development. We've been working with some writers and those sorts of things. It's obviously not as far along as the Doom movie was when it took off after we had the E3 showing in 2002, but I think as we go forward with a lot of those franchises, I mean… you haven't seen the last Wolfenstein game. I don't want to talk too much about when or what the next one's going to be, it's still very much in the drawing board phases, but I think as… my hope is, it's not too dissimilar from Doom III and the Doom movie, where we kinda had the game going on, and the movie really caught fire. So we'll have the same thing with Wolf as well."-Todd Hollenshead
I personally can't wait for the next wolfenstien game since the orginal holds a special place in my gamer heart since it was the first PC game I ever played. So hopefully this movie will be a success and be done well since Id software has some $$ in there pockets to do this movie correctly. You can also take a look at the full list of charaters at imdb.

GTA:San Andreas - Hot Coffee is just to hot

Yesterday the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) changed Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas From M (mature) to AO (Adults only). Pressure from Politicians and groups against GTA: San Andreas meant that the game went from M to AO quickly. Also note that Walmart does not carry AO games so of course that’s probably why Rockstar Halted production of the AO version immediately and will begin production of the new one edited of course which will come out in the fall.

This was a "Good Move" in my standing by the ESRB because of the pressure on GTA right now. Though the content is completely un-accessible by any means of playing you can use the Hot Coffee Mod for the Playstaion version I believe to unlock the hidden game that has sparked the investigation and rating change.

In my personal Opinion I believe that either; A) Rockstar truly accidentally left the content in to get the game out there to consumers or B) Saw into the future through a crystal ball and figured that it might bring it more fame if there perhaps was a controversy over it. All in all it is settled now and there will be a new version coming out soon enough and they are going to make sure that there is no Extra Cutting room floor material left over.

Of course 25 to life Developed by Avalanche Software, LLC. Published by Eidos has quietly delayed there game back a few months probably do the heat from politicians on games. Though there was a reason the ESRB is there and they can never do anything about it unless of course the game content changes like in GTA: San Andreas.

Resident Evil 5 Update

Well over at IGN they have some screen shots up but there just from the video. You can go to http://media.ps3.ign.com/media/734/734381/vids_1.html <--- there if you want to video which is really interesting and stunning. Also might I add that it says Biohazard 5 at the end, which is what they call it in asia, still resident evil 5 here. Here is what IGN has to say about the debut of the new Resident evil 5.

"The latest issue if Famitsu is home to first details and screens for Resident Evil 5. As we reported earlier, Capcom is bringing this next generation survival horror title to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with veteran developer Jun Takeuchi serving as producer."-IGN
"The video does not actually reveal the nature of the enemies that are pursuing the main character. The primary enemy is a new element to the game and it's currently a closely guarded secret. The enemy are meant to come after you in great numbers, conveying the sense of insanity of hoards of natives that Takeuchi took away from Black Hawk Down"-IGN
"The development staff is paying extra attention to the game's environments, with Takeuchi stating that one of the tastes of past Resident Evil games was that of the player walking slowly through a dark and damp environment. This time, we can also expect wider, brighter environments, including scenes of intense sunlight.
As expected of a next generation game, RE5 runs in high definition, and one of the things the development staff wanted to do was use the new visual power at its hands to communicate the sense of atmosphere to the player. The images in the trailer clip are meant to convey a sense of high temperature. In fact, heat is a central theme to the game, with Takeuchi suggesting that when it's particularly hot, you'll want to cool down in a cave."-IGN
Really its far aways away so I dont know why I am excited other than the fact that it just adds to the game that will be turning Next Generation and will be visually stunning. Though then agian they could suprise the world and bring it out next year, heres to hoping!

Resident Evil 5 for Xbox 360 and PS3

Well though my GameCube was out of commission for awhile, I had to hook it up for Resident Evil 4 and well it was absolutely satisfying. The game was visually stunning and the new game play with less focus on Puzzle solving and more on the FPS side of things really gave a new way to the game, And what better to compliment that game with more of the stuff we love.

Capcom released today that Resident Evil 5 would be released for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 but made no mention for Nintendo Revolution.

Capcom will be using the awesome power behind the Xbox 360 and PS3 to make the game visually stunning. The game is taking place in apparently a hot sandy dessert, which is a change from its usual dark mysterious look for the series. Game spot had some info on the actual video content that I have yet to see.

"The Famitsu images show an unshaven man in a short-sleeved shirt who appears to be the main character in Resident Evil 5. Armed with a handgun and knife belted to his shoulder, he is outnumbered and being chased by a mysterious group of enemies shown in silhouette.
Takeuchi commented that RE5's setting was inspired by the 2001 war movie Black Hawk Down, in which a crowd of angry Somalis swarm over an American helicopter after it crash-lands. Technically, the surviving soldiers have a lot of room to run inside the city, but they are quickly cornered by the massive crowd that comes after them. Takeuchi says that he hopes to achieve a similar kind of experience and "madness" in RE5.
When asked about the unshaven man, Takeuchi said that the core developers for RE5 include staff members that worked on RE1, hinting that it might possibly be Chris Redfield from the original Resident Evil. Takeuchi also revealed that RE5 will be an authentic sequel to the series' main storyline rather than a side story. He added that if the main character is indeed Chris, the developers might be preparing to create some kind of a conclusion to the series' long storyline. " -Gamespot

Though capcom has said it is releasing it for Xbox 360 and PS3. The actual game is years away from completion in comparison it took nearly 4 years for Resident Evil 4 to come out for the GameCube. When asked when it is expected to arrive, Jun Takeuchi known for the producer of Genma Onimusha and Onimusha 3 said, "before the launch of PlayStation 4". Takeuchi has some previous experience also from working on Resident Evil 1 and 2 on the animation side of things.

So they forgot to mention about Nintendo Revolution perhaps they are working on a better one for Nintendo fans and just released this to through us Nintendo fans off their trail. All in all the game isn't to be expected before awhile but they already have 1 person waiting for its inevitable development
